Block out the light.

So here are a few additions to the house to help with that.

We are slowlllyyyy working on a few more house things. We have officially lived here for three months. We moved in, unpacked and settled somewhat. Took a break from "the projects" but now that some time has passed we are back on the list of things to do.

First up blinds: here are the most recent

We also put them in the other two bedrooms and our closet. I think that is all for now

Then it was time to get the guest bathroom finished just in case we get some visitors?!?
So now we at least have a shower curtain. Still to come a mirror

Then it is time to head outside when it warms up. Landscaping. House painting. Driveway paving

Inside: furniture. Lockers.

Like I said this will be a slowwww process :)

Bring on not only the spring cleaning but the spring projects.

Plants and pining

Plants: I did my last watering on Friday night. Their mama and my mama is heading home tomorrow! Due to arrive by the weekend!!!!!!! Can you tell we are all excited!!!!!!

So here is a final picture of their upkeep.
Drumroll please.....

Looks pretty much the same! Hello!!! I think their mama is going to be PRETTY happy!!! :)

Pining: on one of our (many) Walmart trips I discovered a while back this drying mate that I really really wanted (cough I am sooo getting old if these are the things I get excited about)
Anyway today I passed it and it was on sale!! Major woot. She is finally mine! 3 buckeroos and happy kari!!

Now I would say I already put it to use but my hubby beat me to it...to dry his beer off that was in a cooler. Hmmm do not think that was approved by me. All well! She is mine and I am happy. Little things in life :)

Read read read

X three.
Three books this week on vacation and one half day to go..and one more book to go.

Here are the books
And here are the reviews
1.  I've got your number
Typical Sophie book. Funny. Dorky. Silly. Quick read. Of course there was a problem/mix up and it is solved in the end. If you are a Sophie fan you will like. Recommend.

2. The best of me.
Typical sparks book.  Little darker/sadder overall. But it was good. Switch ending that I didn't see coming. The rest I will keep a secret. I enjoyed and would recommend.

3. Before I say good-bye
Oh Mary Higgins Clark. Why have I stopped reading you. You are such a good mystery. Really enjoyed. Good twistes and turns. Of course I recommend.

That is three for three folks. One weeks worth of vacation books in the books :)

Read on read on!

Very American

Past times.
One: American Legion boat and canon pancake breakfast!
All you can eat for $6...bacon and eggs also! Check

Discovered this this weekend with B!
We were by far on the younger side of the crowd, but it was delicious, allowed for chatting and were even asked if we were twins...does it get any better ;)

Two: Tigers baseball
My sister in law is famous! She made the Instagram, Mlive and the Detriot free press!
All because of an autograph. Now she has to just name my soon to be niece Justine :)
Check her famous picture!

Oh so cool!

There you have two proofs of Americas best!
