We celebrated by carving our pumpkin this weekend

tried to the pinterst thing, drilling holes in it....kinda worked but at least we still got the seeds!

brought in a work treat in that was demolished by noon :) 

Had a cowboy come and visit me at work today!

 and nanna and granpy!

and made a look a like papa murphys pizza!

homemade dough and all :) 

passed the test.  was ruled to add this to the rotation

Even though there was not one trick r treater at the house 

it was still a great day!

and this is not a joke.  News story.  On the way to the Tigers there was a bit of a traffic jam and we hit it.  We found out about three hours before we drove down this highway a guy got shot in the bum...results closed the highway in search of the man.
really a scary situation!  As far as I know he has not been found....

lets go TIGERS

Yesterday the family went to Game Three of the world series! [and the bultemas/vryhofs]

and they lost and didn't even play that good.

BUT there is still a chance tonight

a very small chance but there is a always a chance 

We had a great time at the game regardless of the results

got there early and watched batting practice

had a little ballpark food aka a ballpark

and then bundled up for the game

RATING 10-10. sooo good.  easy to make 

and a totally a hit!

TWO:  Pumpkin Pie Bread

Rating: 10-10 Delicious bread, maybe not good for you 

But oh so dreamy, actually have made it twice

 THREE: Harvest soup

RATING: 10-10 again :) made it twice [freeze some for later]

Squash, sweet potato, apples...aka lots of veggies 

so good for you

FOUR: OMG parmesan chicken 

RATING: 9-10

Substituted greek yogurt for sour cream and it was great

again healthy and quick to make

J really this! [first meat and veggie dinner night :) hehe i passed]

Again would recommend any of these!

such a great time away with the Hubby.

We travel well together :) 

We had three busy days being VERY touristy.  We went every where in Rome and then headed to Santorini in the Greek Islands to relax [but also did some day trips] then back to Rome, where we took the train to Florence for the day.  Then it was back to reality, but a good reality!

LOTS and LOTS of pictures, J only gave me a little grief for the amount I took!

We arrived at 8am, got to the hotel and went walking around

 

 Day two: Started at the Spanish steps

 A stop for gelato

 Great view of Rome

 Day Three: Audio TOUR time for J!

 Day Four: Athens

Nothing like starting the day with a Mcflurry and coke zero :) 

 It was VERY hot

 But we still hiked to the top to see this

 Day Five: AHHH finally made it to Santorini [check off the bucket list]

Very very happy wife, so happy life 

 It was a good morning

 In to the town of Fira for dinner and sunset and shopping

 Day six: We rented a car and toured the whole island. so much fun!

 Stopped at the other side for another beautiful sunset dinner

Day seven: Another day trip, this time to volcano and hot springs, but first through the donkey poop...so so so gross!

 One more bit of relaxing!

 Day Eight we travel

Day Nine: We took the train to Florence

 Dodo Store just for Grandma!

 One last bit of Pizza and Pasta 

 Day Ten: We are off! 5am flight

other than almost missing our plane in Paris we made it home safely!
