the best part of being

a neighbor is

moving a grill at 10 at night with the tailgate open down the side streets!

Got to love the adventures I get in with B to the BOGO!! 

if only every weekend

had four days

had beautiful weather

and was spent with wonderful people

if only, at least this weekend I got a taste of it!

There was time spent:

In traverse city with the parents

the usual bike to the farmers market! added lunch and then a taste of cherry republic

Time spent on j's boat

Time spent biking with J's family!  Really a fun time and a great path

Time spent registering [not that fun]

Time spent watching girly movies

and walking to ice cream

Time spent watching the FRENCH OPEN!

I think we packed in enough goodness in four days!

oh the 80's

well unfortunately she can't have it because it is broken

I broke my cadoodle that I have had at least since the 9th grade! 

people may pick on me, but the thing it is a gem and it holds a ton

RIP cadoodle on ward and upward to bigger and better

or in this case hopefully just better

it's a jeep thing

as j says ALL THE TIME :) 

did you know that jeep owners wave to each other!?!?

I am for real, I never knew this 

but trust me I do now

and trust me there is always a wave :)

anyway Sunday it was BEAUTIFUL out!

So we jeeped it to Grand Haven State Park

It was perfect riding weather and perfect beach weather

I read, we walked the pier and then stopped and visited at Uncle Don and Aunt Pats

Such a great day, hoping for a lot of summer days that are this nice!

Friday night we went 50's style to the diner down the road

nothing says diner like pink vinyl, a basket of chicken strips and fries [for J]

and a malt to top it off

i said yes to the dress!

I bought my wedding dress. 

The one!

No details on the bloggero bc a certain someone reads it occasionally

but I found it Saturday with my mom at Beckers in fowler

It is actually the same dress that I tried on at Bridal Elegance last week

We both kept comparing it to 'the one' so knew it had to be dress!

we did clap clap and hug!  fun mission accomplished!

Last night we headed out to Wayland Uccellos to see Kristina and Andrew!

Great time with the whole group!

and their little cuties are so fun to spend time with. 

crock pot + big table

equals a bigger than usual mother's day celebration!

This year we did a combined mothers day with my family and with J's family!

we hosted and prepared the meal, which was a blast!

set up the table [realized we will be needing to register for more than 7 plates]

and then enjoyed the evening with a great mother and mother in law to be!

So thankful for everyone around this table and again am reminded how blessed I am!

off to the races

Another race that took place this week was Riverbank

This was the 6th year in a row running some type of race in the Riverbank with B!

J was a trooper this year and brought us down and cheered us on!

So were my parents [even though I didn't get a picture with them]

They came down and rode bikes around the course and yelled for me!!  It makes it so fun to see them throughout the race. 

Plus after we finished the race J brought us back to my house to get our bikes and we went back down to watch some of the 25K

Ben loved watching all the people and cheering for his dad!

One more thing accomplished was DRESS shopping

We [mom and I] went to bridal elegance and tried on a few dress

We may have found 'The one"

but need to be a hundred percent sure and when you only do it once you might as well soak in the experience and go to another store [next weekend]

which ps wedding dresses our heavy!

One week complete!  and only 131 more days to go :)

and I was only called Bridezzla once [as a joke!]

This past weekend J and I went to visit his sister in Denver to build a chicken coop

Little did I know that J was planning to do a lot more than that

We spent some time site seeing and even hit the H&M

Another place that we visited was the Denver Botanical Gardens

As we were walking around the gardens we came to a Gazebo that had

Tulips

a reserve sign

and Champagne

I thought it was such a cute surprise for someone

and that we should quickly take a picture

Little did I know that this was a surprise for me

He asked

[I responded in awe- are you kidding me!]

Then I said yes

Very happy

After all the excitement we had dinner and made lots of phone calls

It was so fun to share the excitement with family and friends

Let the whirlwind begin

Do not forget the chicken coop

We [yes we- Rachel and I helped!] finished the chicken coop

After two days of work and two runs to home depot we did it!

Celebrating the Queens Birthday in Chicago last night

The flowers were beautiful!

For all you who are sceptical I did wear an orange sweater later in the night and a dutch tulip sticker on my shirt.  I was Dutch enough for the night.

After the celebrating there was a quick stop at Wendy's for a value fry and frosty.

does it get any better?

I do not think so.
