brand new

We did two BRAND new things this saturday

we started off by visiting the SUPER cute newest baby Wyma

Weighing in at 7lbs 9oz

born September 6 to his super cute and looking FABULOUS mama Sarah [and Cory and miss Chloe!]

He was just so sweet

 Then we visited the new downtown market

I was very curious to see all the work [since MES has been talking DTM ALL summer long! haha]

fun time...very busy.  

but will have to visit again

malt mixed buy one, get one free blizzard at the new place by our house

all in a days work

and we have a garage!

that was exciting to see the whole thing be there in one day

starting to take shape around there, literally :) 

I wonder what I will find tonight ;-)

one more time around for the season

can not believe summer is coming to an end

always goes by way to fast!

we decided to capitalize on a long weekend

headed up to Traverse City to spend time with the parentals 

first and last DQ blizzard of summer

it was SO good

out to dinner on old mission point

plus the normal beach, walk, and biking

back home on the river to spend time with Js family

we had a boat load and a great time

 even grandma wanted to try the seadoo!

she loved it!

At least there is no school tomorrow ;-)

and there is a whole week of the Open to go!

lots of mud

which is a good sign when you are building/working on the house

The mud comes from here...the footings are in...meaning the new garage can go up 

and the old can come down

and the deck is on its way

may look random but this is in the old part of the garage

after what you could call a long day at the office thanks to this new machine

I received one of the cutest text from my sister in law

that instantly turned any frown or straight work face into a HUGE smile

Ben said "Aunt Kari calls me peanut butter cup. No one say that but Aunt Kari.  Auntie is silly"

I am sorry doesn't seem much but I sure found it cute and it made my heart melt and made me laugh

opening day

of the US Open is here already!

[actually last night] 

Opening reminds me of back to school and I guess that means it really is that time of year

ANYWAY I will stay away from that sad talk and focus on the last bit of summer we have :)

and THE US OPEN

Last night we decided to channel our inner open and play a little tennis

well being over 80 degrees we lasted about 30 min

and then I was found doing this the rest of the night

Let the fun continue on for the next two weeks

I am the remote control queen all week! 

aka ESPN2 all the way!
